Movie Review & Rating
"Neeku Nenu Naaku Nuvvu" is a heartwarming family drama released in 2003, directed by Raja Sekhar. Starring Uday Kiran and Shriya Saran, the film successfully blends youthful romance with profound family values, a formula that resonated well with the Telugu audience of the early 2000s. The plot revolves around a young man caught between his love and his grandfather's rigid yet loving discipline. Uday Kiran delivers a sincere performance, effectively portraying the conflict and innocence of his character. Shriya Saran looks radiant and plays her part with charm. However, the film's backbone is veteran actor Krishnam Raju, whose commanding presence and emotional depth anchor the entire narrative, especially in the climax sequences. The music by R. P. Patnaik is a major highlight; the songs are melodic, catchy, and became instant hits, perfectly complementing the story’s mood. The cinematography is bright and visually pleasing. While the pace tends to drag slightly in the second half due to excessive sentimentality, the film ultimately succeeds in delivering a strong, positive message about respecting elders and understanding their sacrifices. It remains a memorable watch for its emotional quotient and chart-topping music. Overall, it’s a decent family entertainer with a lot of heart.
